Some manufacturers offer a warranty on their cartridges, ensuring they last for a specific number of pages or for a certain period. Exchange or Replacement Warranty: If a printer is found to be defective within a specified period after purchase, the manufacturer will replace it with a new or refurbished unit rather than repairing the original one. Service Contract or Maintenance Agreement: Not strictly a warranty, a service contract is a separate agreement (often paid) where the manufacturer or a third party agrees to provide routine maintenance and service for the printer over an extended period. This often includes regular check-ups, cleaning, and sometimes even supplies.
